The Gradebook allows you to grade courses, either by learner or by course element.

When you click on a course within Gradebook, it will display the list of learners and their current progress. You either click on the Learner to grade their assignments individually, or you can click on the “Grade Elements” option to grade everyone one element at a time.

By default, you will be viewing the “Grade by Learner” option.
