Yes, your DigitalChalk content is secure. There is much debate and discussion about what cloud computing is, with some people declaring every service available online as cloud-based. Though there is what generally considered the “public” cloud for services like Gmail and Google Docs, this is not the same as cloud computing or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) in the context of what DigitalChalk uses to store and deliver your content. DigitalChalk provides a Software as a Service (SaaS) offering that includes security and reliability. We’ve built much of that security and reliability into DigitalChalk itself, with the added security of Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS web services are the “cloud computing” part of the DigitalChalk equation. Battle-tested and reliable, AWS web services include detailed SLA and support. AWS services provide VPN security, redundancy of servers, storage across multiple data centers, and support for the latest encryption. Our servers (and your data) are “private” resources, dedicated exclusively to you, and are not accessible by other organizations.
