DigitalChalk employs active load management monitoring and scaling to automatically add capacity as needed to react to unexpected load increases.  By using Amazon cloud computing, DigitalChalk can scale to many times maximum forecasted capacity within minutes.

DigitalChalk has redundant and distributed system configurations, so the system workload is spread across many servers.  If a single server goes down, the other servers automatically pick up the next request.  DigitalChalk uses advanced virtual server technology to rapidly add and replace servers during high demand periods.

The DigitalChalk system uses servers across multiple geographic regions.  Each server has backups running in different regions and all data is backed up hourly into multiple regions.
